Job Description
Hold up a hand-held 'STOP' sign until all children are safely across the street. Report any unsafe observations, incidents or accidents involving students to school authorities. Assist students that are lost, injured, or need assistance.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Must be able to work effectively and be courteous with other employees and the public
- Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision
- Must be able to apply sound judgment
- Knowledge of traffic control devices and traffic regulations pertaining to school and pedestrian crossings
- Previous experience working with children or the public is preferred
