Job Description
The Baltimore City Health Department is seeking a Deputy Commissioner to lead the Division of Public Behavioral Health. The incumbent will oversee the development of the public health response to overdose, manage essential harm reduction services, and support the consent decree for the Baltimore Police Department. This is a highly visible leadership position within BCHD.
Requirements
- Provide oversight and management of the Division of Public Behavioral Health
- Provide executive leadership and direction to an Assistant Commissioner and Program Directors
- Responsible for budgeting and fiscal oversight of program operations
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with grant requirements and city, state, and federal regulations
- Serves as a senior BCHD advisor on substance use treatment and harm reduction strategies
