Job Description
The Baltimore City Health Department seeks a Peer Educator to conduct street-based outreach activities, provide health education and risk reduction counseling, and overdose response training to program participants and community stakeholders.
Requirements
- Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience in providing peer education services or closely related professional employment
- Currently a Maryland Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) or working toward certification
- Valid Maryland Driver’s License
- Strong Interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
