Job Description
Inspects commercial and residential construction projects for compliance with building, safety, and construction codes and regulations. Performs field inspections, reviews plans, and verifies quality of workmanship and materials. Maintains communication with developers and builders, and provides assistance to the public on compliance issues.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Three years' journeyman/foreman-level experience in building trades, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing installation
- Valid Texas Driver's License
- State certification as a Plumbing Inspector within one year of hire
- International Code Council (ICC) Building Inspector, Electrical Inspector, Plumbing Inspector, or Mechanical Inspector certification
