Assistant Director/Team Counsel - INTERGOVERNMENTAL RELATIONS

The Mayor’s Office of Management and Budget (OMB) is seeking an Assistant Director/Team Counsel to oversee the Intergovernmental Relations Task Force, responsible for monitoring legislative processes and executive actions to assess their impact on the City budget. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational, research, and analytic skills, as well as outstanding written and oral communication skills.

Requirements

• Prepares the City fiscal agenda and pursues budgetary goals
• Coordinates the evaluation and update of the City’s budget documents
• Acts as OMB’s liaison to the Mayor's Legislative Affairs Offices
• Develops legislative timetable to assure OMB involvement
• Regularly briefs senior staff and City officials on legislative and budget issues
• Drafts position memoranda, fiscal impact statements, and testimony
• Develops work objectives for staff and monitors their performance
