Job Description
The Office of the District Attorney, Bronx County seeks a skilled and highly engaged Director of Special Officers to oversee community services, security arrangements, and regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in law enforcement, protection, or security, and be qualified to serve as a Peace Officer. The role requires a baccalaureate degree and at least one year of experience in community work or community-centered activities.
Requirements
- Plans, implements, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates programs involving important community services
- Prepares planning documents, evaluation reports, and analyses program plans, funding, and performance
- Makes recommendations on policies and procedures
- Provides technical assistance, training, supervision, and evaluation of subordinate staff
- Directs and trains subordinates in their duties and responsibilities
- Responds to emergency situations involving staff and/or the community
- Conducts regular inspections of assigned areas to ensure staff and community groups are in a safe and secure environment
