The New York City Police Department is seeking a Paralegal Aide II to assist in reviewing background information, performing legal research, and drafting legal communications. The successful candidate will have a baccalaureate degree or equivalent experience in paralegal services, with a minimum of one additional year of pertinent experience or a baccalaureate degree to be eligible for Assignment Level II duties and pay.
Requirements
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, or an associate degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited college and two years of experience in paralegal services.
- Four years of full-time satisfactory experience in the performance of paralegal services.
- A satisfactory combination of education and/or experience equivalent to one of the above options.
- Paralegal Certification obtained in the United States from an accredited program or from a program approved by the American Bar Association can be substituted for 12 months of experience.
