Supervise technicians in assigned city garage(s) to provide planned and unplanned maintenance, service and repair of the City's diverse fleet of vehicles and equipment. Plan, schedule and re-schedule daily/weekly/monthly work to optimize service life, safety and cost efficiency.
Requirements
- Completion of Automotive Service Technician 310S apprenticeship program of 7220 hours
- Completion of Truck and Coach Technician 310T apprenticeship program of 6720 hours
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a municipal fleet maintenance or similar environment
- Experience in a leadership role
- Valid Ontario Certificate of Qualification as Truck and Coach Technician 310T and Automotive Service Technician 310S
- TSSA Regulated Fuels Safety certificate (natural gas, propane and/or alternate fuel)
- Valid Ontario unrestricted DZ class driver's licence (or provincial equivalent) with no more than 6 demerit points accumulated
