Job Description
The Vehicle and Technical Services Department is responsible for various services related to vehicle maintenance and technical services. The incumbent is responsible for supervising technicians, planning schedules, and conducting operational activities to optimize service life, safety, and profitability.
Requirements
- Completed the Automotive Service Technician Apprenticeship Program (310S) (7,220 hours) and the Truck and Bus Technician Apprenticeship Program (310T) (6,720 hours)
- 8 years of work experience in the field of municipal vehicle maintenance or a similar field, including leadership experience
- Valid Ontario Certificate of Qualification as a Truck and Bus Technician 310T and Automotive Service Technician 310S
- Regulated Fuel Safety Certificate from the CNTS (natural gas, propane, and/or replacement fuel)
- Valid Ontario DZ license without restrictions (or equivalent provincial license) and zero demerit points
- Language Requirements: Spoken, read, and written English
