The Recreation, Culture and Facility Services are responsible for the daily operation of facilities and the provision of services for leisure sites and programs, park and recreation policies and cultural services programs.
Requirements
- Post-secondary studies in recreation therapy, kinesiology, leisure or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience working as a manager or supervisor of activities targeted at adults with physical disabilities, developmental disabilities, sensory disabilities or other types of disabilities.
- Experience supervising employees and volunteers.
- General First Aid, CPR or DEA certification
- Crisis Prevention/ Intervention Training Certification
- Behavior Management Certification
- Training in Alternative Communication Systems (ASL-American Sign Language)
- LAPHO/NAI Customer Service Training
- Ergonomic Lifting and Transfer Operations Training
