Job Description
The Housekeeping Services are responsible for maintaining a clean, comfortable, safe and welcoming environment in the long-term care home.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Six months of institutional housekeeping experience
- Disinfection procedures
- Stripping and refinishing floors
- Surface preservation
- Vacuuming and upholstered furniture cleaning using a shampooer
- Using housekeeping equipment
- Employee health and safety/SIMDUT
- Understanding safe body mechanics for lifting and bending
- Relevant health and safety legislation, including workers rights and obligations
