The City of Ottawa is hiring a Technician II, Vehicles and Equipment (certified 310T mechanics) to perform a wide range of duties, including diagnosing vehicles, performing general mechanical repair and maintenance, and regularly inspecting and repairing preventive maintenance on vehicles and their components.
Requirements
- High school diploma and valid Ontario Certification of Qualification as a Truck and Coach Mechanic (310T)
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a municipal vehicle fleet or having worked on trucks, buses, and equipment in a similar environment
- Valid Ontario Certification of Qualification as a Truck and Coach Mechanic (310T)
- Valid Ontario Certification of Qualification as a Motor Cycle Technician (310G) for specific positions
- Valid CNS Gas Regulated Fuel Safety Certificate for specific positions
- Valid Ozone-Alert Certificate in Ontario for specific positions
- Valid Ontario Driver's License Category DZ without restrictions (or provincial equivalent) and no impaired driving convictions
