To inspect, maintain, repair and overhaul pumps, machinery, electrical equipment, piping, meters and related mechanical equipment used in the City's facilities and systems. To operate one or more types of heavy maintenance equipment and automotive equipment in the operations and maintenance of Public Works infrastructure.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- One year experience in disciplines relating to public works operation and maintenance, or water utility operations and maintenance, or natural gas utility operations and maintenance, or general commercial or residential construction, or land clearing, or pipeline construction, or landscaping and irrigation, or plumbing, or metal fabrication or machining, or manufacturing, or farming or ranching, or building maintenance, or machine/equipment operation or maintenance, or warehouse/dock work, or other similar activities.
- Obtain a Level III Water Distribution License within 18 months of employment in position.
- Possession of and ability to maintain a valid State of Florida Driver's License.
