Job Description
The Corporation of the City of St. Thomas is seeking a Water and Sewer Operator to join their Environmental Services Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining the water and sewer infrastructure and related appurtenances within approved policies and guidelines. This is a permanent, full-time position with a base rate of $36.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma or equivalent
- MECP Class I Certification for Water Distribution and Class I Certification for Wastewater Collection systems
- A minimum accredited 2-year College Diploma in Environmental Science or Technology, or equivalent
- Three (3) years operational experience in municipal Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection systems
- Operational experience with a wide variety of heavy equipment
