Job Description
The Firefighter/EMT is responsible for responding to emergency calls, extinguishing fires, and providing emergency medical assistance. They must attend training opportunities, adhere to safety policies, and have a strong understanding of firefighting principles and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, associate's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate Degree or two (2) years of college coursework preferred
- Eligibility to be eighteen (18) years of age or older
- No felony convictions within the past ten (10) years
- Meet minimum physical fitness requirements as set forth by Georgia Firefighters Standard and Training Council
