Job Description
Meter Technician responsible for accurate reading and re-reading of water meters and assisting with customer service.
Requirements
- Reads water utility meters for commercial and residential customers;
- Maintains records on standard forms to ensure proper billing;
- Completes work orders to turn on and turn off water service;
- Checks for dysfunctional meters and reports any defects to supervisor;
- Runs re-checks on meters in question;
- Performs final reading for customers requesting disconnection; turns water services on for new customers;
- Disconnects water services to delinquent customers;
- Removes dysfunctional meters and installs new meters as necessary;
