The City of Wetaskiwin is seeking a Lifeguard 3 to provide lifeguarding, lesson instruction, and advanced course delivery to patrons at the Manluk Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the highest quality of lifeguarding, instruction, and maintenance to ensure a safe environment for patrons and staff.
Requirements
- Minimum 18 years old
- Minimum 3 years lifeguarding experience
- Possession of current certifications (Lifesaving Society's National Lifeguard, Standard First Aid, Lifesaving Society's Swim Instructor, Lifesaving Society's Lifesaving Instructor, Standard First Aid Instructor, National Lifeguard Instructor, and 2 additional Instructor certifications)
- Ability to teach, provide constructive feedback, and support the building of swimming skills of program participants and staff
- Ability to perform and lead first aid procedures
- Experience in promoting positive internal and external customer relations
- Able to provide internal training to staff
- Strong interpersonal communication, supervisory, and coaching skills
- Strong understanding of basic OH&S Regulations
- Proficiency in MS Office including Microsoft Teams
