Program Director, Service Projects

The Program Director, Service Projects role at City Year Los Angeles is responsible for leading the Civic Engagement program, managing service projects, and overseeing a team of Project Leaders. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of experience in event management and/or project management, with a strong track record of results in building and maintaining productive relationships with key stakeholders.

Requirements

• 4-6 years of work experience in event management and/or project management
• Ability to meet deadlines, plan-ahead, and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced diverse team environment
• Strong written & oral communication skills: especially presenting complex information to a group
• At least 3 years of management experience with strong track record of results
• Strong track record in building and maintaining productive relationships with key stakeholders
• Authorized documentation to work in the United States of America
• Criminal background history clearance to work with school-age children
• Reliable means of transportation and a valid Driver’s License
