The Recreation, Cultural and Facility Services department is responsible for building a healthy, inclusive and vibrant City. This job requires assisting with summer camp programs for special needs children/youth, providing direct client care and intervention, and program adaptation.
Requirements
- Post-secondary Student - completion of first year college or university in Nursing, Developmental Services Worker, Recreation and Leisure, or related field
- Minimum of 8 months but less than 1 year of related experience
- Current Standard First Aid, CPR-C and AED certificates
- AODA Accessibility/IASR Training
- Crisis Prevention/Intervention training certificate
- Alternative Communication Systems (ASL- American Sign Language) training is desirable
- Ergonomic Lifts and Transfers training is an asset
