Advance Practice Nurse (Internal Medicine)

The Advance Practice Nurse (Internal Medicine) will provide primary care services to patients at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington. The role involves assessing, planning, evaluating, and modifying the treatment of patients, as well as providing surveillance of adherence to medical and primary care practices and procedures. The Nurse Practitioner will also diagnose disease, illness, disorder, or injury, institute treatment, and prescribe medication within the scope of practice and approved protocols.

Requirements

• Graduate or higher level degree from an accredited professional nursing educational program
• Current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States
• Certification from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (for individuals who graduated from foreign nursing schools)
• At least one year of professional nursing experience administering anesthetics to patients and monitoring patients receiving anesthesia care
