Associate - Private Company Mergers & Acquisitions

We are seeking an intermediate to senior level Associate to join our Private Company Transactions group. The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years of experience in private company M&A and corporate commercial practice. This is a full-time, permanent position and is ideal for anyone wanting to join a firm that takes pride in having a collegial working atmosphere, where growth and professional development are supported.

Requirements

• 4-5 years of post-call experience in corporate/commercial law, with a strong focus on private company M&A;
• A client-centered approach, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral;
• Experience independently managing transactions from commencement through closing;
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills;
• Excellent organizational and project management abilities;
• A clear understanding of transactional undertakings, trust conditions, and handling transaction funds;
• Experience preparing and negotiating ancillary transaction documentation;
• Strong attention to detail and sound commercial judgment;
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment;
• A collaborative and team-oriented approach to practice.
