Principal Consultant

ClearPoint is looking for a Principal Consultant to join their team in Auckland. The role involves leading business and product discovery, developing target state architectures, and providing strategic and technical advisory input. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking senior practitioner with technical depth and consulting craft.

Requirements

• A proven track record in technology strategy engagements, architectural leadership, or managing RFP processes for platform selection.
• Proven expertise in client delivery management and operations - particularly in designing, building and deploying digital engineering solutions.
• The ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business-level guidance for executive and board audiences.
• Experience across major enterprise ecosystems with strong integration architecture and data migration fundamentals.
• A track record of enabling high-performance software delivery across teams and organisations.
• Confident facilitation of discovery sessions and synthesis workshops.
• A background in providing technical foundations for business cases and evaluation frameworks.
• Strong experience in scope management and prioritisation, with a clear focus on 'what to build' to deliver value.
• AI and agentic coding fluency - you're already using tools like GitHub Copilot or Claude in your day-to-day work, with a practical view on where Generative AI delivers real value and where the hype outpaces the reality.
