Job Description
The inpatient pharmacy technician supports pharmacists in providing pharmacy services, packaging, preparation, and distribution of medications, inventory control, customer service and maintaining pharmacy records. The technician is responsible for patient-specific and batch compounding of sterile preparations used by our inpatient and ambulatory populations and throughout our procedure suites in accordance with USP <797> and <800> regulatory standards with a focus on safety, quality, and timeliness.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National HealthCareer Association (NHA)
- Active registration through the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (OBOP) as either a Certified Pharmacy Technician, Registered Pharmacy Technician, or Pharmacy Technician Trainee
