CMHA Thames Valley Addiction and Mental Health Services (TVAMHS) is an integrated mental health and addiction agency serving London and surrounding counties. As one of the largest branches in the national CMHA federation, TVAMHS offers community-based supports to over 635,000 individuals through a team of more than 650 employees and 300 volunteers. Established in April 2021 by the merger of three organizations, TVAMHS is dedicated to providing comprehensive mental health and addiction services across its region.
The Bereavement Counsellor performs duties and responsibilities that promote recovery and are consistent with the psychosocial rehabilitation model. The Counsellor works collaboratively with family members, caregivers, clients, peers and the community to enhance the recovery of anyone who has had a loss as a result of suicide or overdose.
