Job Description
As an Underwriting Consultant, you will be responsible for managing a complex book of business, developing specialized endorsement language, and determining pricing for complex risks. You will also analyze quality, quantity, and profitability of risks, and market products and services through agencies or brokers. Additionally, you will mentor and guide less experienced underwriters and participate in industry trade groups.
Requirements
- Advanced technical expertise in underwriting, insurance, and principles
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- Creativity in resolving unique business problems
- Leadership skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and business-related software
- Minimum eight years of underwriting experience
