Job Description
Underwriting Specialist responsible for managing complex book of business, analyzing and monitoring risks, and making recommendations on underwriting policy and pricing strategy. Requires advanced technical expertise and strong communication and analytical skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Typically a minimum eight to ten years underwriting experience
- Professional designations preferred
- Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills
- Advanced analytical and problem solving skills
- Creativity in resolving unique and challenging business problems
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software
- Demonstrated leadership skills
