Job Description
The Mine Planning Engineer-in-Training will support the evaluation, development, and execution of mine and projects plans at the Horizon Mine Engineering team. The role involves preparing mine, tailings, infrastructure project and capital plans to achieve Canadian Natural’s business objectives, developing and communicating detailed plans and reports, and collaborating on design issues with operations and management personnel.
Requirements
- Degree in Mining, Civil or Geological Engineering
- Registered or eligibility to register as an EIT with APEGA
- Previous experience in the oil sands industry, especially in tailings, is an asset
- Experience with mine planning software; Maptek Vulcan, Minebridge Muk3D, and Runge XACT/XPAC is an asset
- Possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license
