Job Description
At Coffman Engineers, we're seeking a Structural Engineer with 5-10+ years of experience to join our Spokane office. The ideal candidate will be an independent, self-motivated team player with strong leadership and communication skills, comfortable consulting with architectural and industrial practices, and experience with computer analysis software systems and design with various materials.
Requirements
- Experience with computer analysis software systems
- Excellent leadership, supervisory, and writing and verbal communication skills
- Design experience with various materials, including steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and light gauge steel and their associated design standards
- Ability to design lateral and gravity systems of low-rise buildings and buildings with complex geometries
- Strong understanding of load paths and constructability
- Knowledge and experience with the International Building Code (IBC) and US design standards
