Job Description
Our client is a trusted commercial electrical contractor seeking an experienced Controller to lead their accounting and financial operations. The ideal candidate brings strong accounting leadership experience, preferably within the construction or contracting industry, and is comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- At least 2+ years in a leadership or senior-level role
- Prior experience in construction, contracting, or a related industry strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and internal controls
- Experience with accounting software and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with construction accounting systems (e.g., Buildops, Sage, Procore) is a plus
- Experience with payroll processing and basic HR functions preferred
