Compliance, Senior Associate (Financial Crime)

Coinbase is seeking a compliance professional to report to the Coinbase Canada Chief Compliance Officer (CCO). The successful candidate will support the CCO with implementing and administering the compliance program. They will provide regulatory and compliance guidance to the Coinbase Canada business, monitor the regulatory environment, and maintain detailed documentation to demonstrate compliance with regulations and internal policies and procedures.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in compliance at financial services, with a particular focus on cryptocurrency and fintech
• Knowledge of Canadian compliance and regulatory matters, including FINTRAC guidelines
• Capacity to meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards and ensuring effective time management
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced remote environment
• Keen interest in digital assets
• Team player, willing to tackle tasks large or small
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Bachelors degree or equivalent
• In-depth understanding of compliance requirements related to cryptocurrency flows, including transaction monitoring and risk assessments
