Job Description
Terus Construction is seeking a Heavy Duty Mechanic in Chetwynd, BC. The successful candidate will perform a variety of tasks involving manual labor in heavy/highway construction and construction material plants, and maintain a wide range of equipment.
Requirements
- Minimum four (4) years experience working within a shop environment
- Minimum two (2) years experience working as a mechanic on construction equipment
- Minimum two (2) years of field experience
- Red Seal Certification
- Can work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Good computer skills in troubleshooting equipment software
- Must be a strong team player, with strong customer service orientation
- Ability to travel the region to support other locations (i.e. Fort St. John or Prince George as needed)
