We are seeking a Preconstruction Manager to join our Construction Solutions team. In this role, you will provide preconstruction leadership to deliver value-based design and constructability options for projects across Canada. You will engage in design meetings with owners, architects, and engineers to provide real-time recommendations to optimize cost, schedule, quality, and constructability variables.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, combined with experience in the construction industry
- Preconstruction Manager: 5-10 years of progressive work-related experience in design, cost estimating, and construction
- Professional Engineering qualifications will be given preference
- PMP qualifications will be given preference, or willingness to obtain within one year
- Demonstrated familiarity with building codes, health & safety regulations, and regulatory permit requirements for the construction industry
- Strong ability to read and interpret drawings and design details
- In-depth knowledge of trades relevant to commercial, industrial and civil construction
- Knowledge of government regulations regarding the construction industry
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, Outlook; in addition to Google communication tools like Gmail and Google Docs
- Knowledge of project management tools like Microsoft Project / Gantt chart planning tools
