Join Commonwealth Fusion Systems as a Manufacturing Engineer and play a crucial role in transitioning new products from development to full-scale production. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement manufacturing processes, design and optimize production layouts, and conduct Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with experience transitioning products from R&D to manufacturing
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Dedication to safety to mitigate hazards that may include heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead, high voltage, and cryogenics
- Willingness to occasionally travel or work required nights/weekends/on-call
