The Perinatologist provides specialized care for pregnant patients with high-risk or medically complex pregnancies. The role focuses on advanced obstetric management, fetal assessment, and coordination of multidisciplinary care to optimize maternal and fetal outcomes throughout pregnancy and the peripartum period.
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program
- Completion of an accredited Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship
- Board-eligible or board-certified in Maternal-Fetal Medicine
- Ability to obtain and maintain unrestricted state medical licensure
- DEA registration or eligibility
