Job Description
We are seeking a full-time Lead Skills Instructor to provide guidance to staff and work directly with individuals in the day program, requiring a bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
Requirements
- Provide guidance to Instructors in providing personal care and assistance to individuals
- Develop Instructors' ability to adapt techniques based on functional abilities and limitations
- Ensure that Instructors are providing curriculum and trainings for individuals that enhance their Activities of Daily Living (ADL's)
- Coordinate with staff the development and implementation of community based activities
- Provide Group Coverage and participate in interventions
- Communicate with DDS, residences, and individuals' families as needed
- Conduct on the job training portion of new employee orientation
