Job Description
Utilize Practice-Based Coaching to support teachers in using effective teaching practices and lead to positive outcomes for children. Assist teachers with implementing practices with supports, including technical assistance, co-teaching, and communities of practice, mentoring, and coaching.
Requirements
- Know and function in accordance with all required standards and licensing guidelines
- Adhere to CAA's and Head Start philosophy and goals
- Recognize existing strengths of education staff and build positive, trusting, coaching relationships
- Identify and target needs within the classroom setting for additional resources and supports
- Plan goals and action steps with classroom staff
- Engage in focused observations for both staff and overall classroom
- Support ongoing CLASS observations and develop professional development
- Provides classrooms coverage when needed
- Travels to assigned classrooms, in-service trainings, seminars, and other assigned meetings
