Job Description
The Head Start program is seeking an Assistant Teacher to ensure the children receive a strong foundation for life through social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. The role involves classroom activities, maintaining a safe environment, promoting family engagement, and assisting the teacher with the overall program.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Child Development Associate (CDA) License/Certification within eighteen (18) months of start date
- Minimum six (6) months experience working with toddlers and pre-school age children preferred
- Must possess superior customer service skills
- Must be able to supervise children and drive a vehicle
- Must have a valid drivers’ license and a satisfactory driving record
