The Prevention Specialist promotes and implements prevention efforts within the community assigned to the grant program and oversees a variety of initiatives. This position ensures the success of programming while working directly with individuals from all sectors. This is a grant contracted position and outcomes related to the position must be achieved.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in the field of behavioral health public health or education or an Associate’s Degree and two (2) years of experience coordinating and/or implementing community-based public health programs or a High school diploma or GED and five (5) years of experience coordinating and/or implementing community-based public health programs.
- Proficiency in the following computer programs: Word processing in a Windows environment, Adobe Products, Excel, Access Database and PowerPoint required
- Must be able to display verbal and written communication skills that meet the requirements of the position and needs of funders and community liaisons.
- Current AZ Driver’s License (valid and in good standing).
- Clear 39-month Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
