The Shift Lead is responsible for the effective day-to-day running of the store on shift, leading colleagues to deliver strong operational performance, high standards and a positive member experience.
Requirements
- Sound knowledge of day-to-day retail operations and the ability to maintain high store standards during trading and non-trading hours.
- An understanding of key commercial KPIs, with the ability to support delivery of performance targets on shift.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate colleagues in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Clear and confident communicator, able to coach colleagues and provide constructive feedback in the moment.
- Good commercial awareness, with the ability to identify issues and improvement opportunities and escalate appropriately.
- Strong member focus, committed to delivering a positive and consistent member experience.
- Well organised and adaptable, able to prioritise effectively and respond to changing operational demands.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role within a retail environment.
- Experience of opening and closing a store and overseeing daily operational activities.
- Experience of handling cash, processing refunds and working in line with company policies and procedures.
- Food Safety Level 1 qualification, or willingness to obtain as part of the role.
