Medical Coder

Determines methodology to identify cases for validation review, conducts validation reviews, and creates monthly/quarterly reports to present to each line of business. Manages records retrieval, release, HIPAA compliance, and document management.

Requirements

• 4 years of recent clinical experience in a defined specialty area
• 2 years of experience in utilization review/case management/clinical, or a combination
• RHIT, RHIA, CIC, CPMA, or CPC license
• Active, unrestricted RN license in SC or compact multistate unrestricted RN license
