CT State Community College is seeking an Assistant Professor/PC of Practical Nursing to teach courses within the assigned discipline area, evaluate student learning outcomes, and provide student support and academic advising. The position requires a Master's degree in Nursing or a related discipline and active R.N. licensure in Connecticut.
Requirements
- Teaching courses within the assigned discipline area in accordance with institutional standards
- Evaluating and assessing student learning outcomes
- Providing student support, mentoring, and academic advising
- Developing curriculum and periodically reviewing and updating instructional materials
- Assisting with program reviews and accreditation-related activities
- Planning and executing program-related events
- Attending workshops, trainings, and/or professional conferences to maintain currency in the field
- Recruit, advise, and retain students in designated program areas
- Select appropriate part-time instructors
- Schedule program courses
- Hire and evaluate faculty
- Establish and cultivate partnerships with local organizations and employers
- Arrange and supervise student internships
- Assess, evaluate, and continuously improve the program
