Job Description
The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for the conceptualization, design, and development of baggage handling systems and components, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure safe, high-quality outputs and on-schedule project completion. This role involves modeling systems, creating detailed drawings, and ensuring compliance with specifications.
Requirements
- Design custom baggage handling systems using CAD software (2D AutoCAD, 3D Inventor).
- Develop component level equipment, assembly, weldment, and part level models and detailed drawings.
- Perform engineering calculations, such as horsepower and speeds.
- Collaborate in a team setting with other engineers and customers.
- Create and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs), Manifests, and other engineering documentation.
