Heavy Equipment Technician (Pump and Power Division)

Cooper Equipment Rentals is seeking a customer-oriented, motivated individual to join their professional team as a Heavy Equipment Technician (Pump and Power Division). The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, servicing, maintaining, and repairing diesel powered generators and pumps, as well as electric submersible pumps of various voltages.

Requirements

• Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician License (421A or 310T or other relevant trade certificate) or equivalent work experience
• Valid Class 5 driver's license
• Strong electrical knowledge in 12volt dc and ac power systems and components, and thorough knowledge of diesel engines
• Understanding of Tier 4 emissions and diesel pumps is an asset
• Must have a complete set of tools
• Available and willing to work over-time as required
• Strong understanding of computer applications and diagnostic tools
• Highly adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, with a strong focus on following procedures and promoting a safe work environment
• Eagerness to continuously learn and stay up to date with emerging technology
• Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods
• Must be able to lift approximately 50 lbs
• Minimum 3 years of related mechanical experience
