Job Description
Cooper Equipment Rentals is seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician (Shop) with a strong mechanical background to join their team. The successful candidate will inspect, service and maintain a diverse fleet of construction equipment, and will have excellent communication and team-player skills.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of mechanical experience working on a variety of construction equipment.
- Valid Class G driver’s license with clean or satisfactory driver’s abstract.
- Own tools required.
- Ability to work over-time as needed.
- Strong understanding of computer applications and diagnostic tools.
- Expertise in diesel and gas engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Highly adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong team-player with effective communication skills.
- Self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as with a team.
- Comfortable with computers.
- Physical stamina and ability to stand and bend for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs.
- Strong commitment to health and safety.
