Job Description
The Production Planner is responsible for creating, managing, and adjusting production schedules to support a high-mix manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- Develop and maintain the production schedule based on demand, capacity, and material availability.
- Plan and sequence production orders; prepare and audit work order packets.
- Track production throughout the process, identify delays, and adjust schedules as needed.
- Perform planning and material movement transactions within QAD or the supported ERP system.
- Recommend system enhancements to strengthen planning efficiency.
- Monitor and support schedule adherence, quality, and cycle time metrics.
- Identify root causes of discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Support process improvements in planning, inventory management, and ERP utilization.
