The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the mechanical and electrical inspection, upkeep, and repair of all facility-related equipment in the plant. This includes performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, supporting spare parts inventory, and ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
Requirements
- Follow all GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices), Safety, and Environmental regulations as well as company policies.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, or instrumental issues, including adjustments, lubrication, parts replacement, teardown, and rebuilding.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance tasks such as equipment checks, fluid analysis, lubrication, and efficiency testing.
- Work from work orders, schematics, engineering drawings, and other technical documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, spare parts usage, and work orders using CMMS software.
- Assist in procurement and inventory management of spare parts and supplies.
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment including welders, torches, drill presses, lathes, and various hand/power tools.
- Fabricate and construct components for new and existing facilities, including mechanical, electrical (single and 3-phase), masonry, and carpentry work.
- Clean and sanitize equipment in accordance with plant operating standards.
- Participate in training, meetings, and process improvement initiatives.
- Assist in training new personnel and perform other duties as assigned.
