Director, Office of Accounting Policy

Corebridge Financial seeks a Director, Office of Accounting Policy to provide technical accounting expertise, lead implementation of new accounting standards, and maintain and update the Company's US GAAP Accounting Manual. The role requires 10+ years of relevant technical accounting experience, preferably in the insurance sector, and a strong understanding of both Statutory and US GAAP accounting and reporting requirements.

Requirements

• Research, interpret and document complex accounting issues, including those relating to insurance and annuity transactions
• Identify potential accounting issues with proposed transactions and proactively work with internal stakeholders to identify solutions
• Communicate complex accounting concepts and findings to internal stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
• Maintain and update critical accounting policies, including conducting regular reviews and updates of accounting policies and procedures
• Monitor and proactively identify/research proposed new accounting standards and guidance
