Job Description
The Director of Community Accounting is responsible for directing the Company's operational accounting and revenue cycle processes, applying US GAAP principles, and supervising, training, and mentoring the revenue cycle and operational accounting teams.
Requirements
- Active CPA license
- 10+ years of experience in an operational accounting leadership role
- Track record of improving speed-to-close and managing audits to successful conclusion
- Public accounting experience preferred
- Experience working at a publicly traded company or multi-entity environments required
- Experience with computer-based accounting systems
- Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills
- Knowledge of US GAAP, accounting procedures, and internal controls
- Experience reviewing financial statements and creating variance analyses
- Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction
- Solid organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively to meet deadlines
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies
