Job Description
The Head Lifeguard will assist the Aquatics Director with implementing and evaluating the snorkeling and swimming program, conducting swim tests, training lifeguards and CITs, and ensuring safe conditions throughout the summer.
Requirements
- One or more years of experience working with children
- One or more years of experience as a lifeguard
- Valid American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification or other as approved by the local Department of Health
- Valid American Red Cross First Aid/CPR Certification or other as approved by the local Department of Health
- Valid American Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor or other approved by the local Department of Health
- Emotional maturity, good health, and vitality
- Ability to work cooperatively with campers and other staff members
- Must be at least 18 years old to comply with NYS Department of Health regulations
- Ability to meet travel requirements associated with this position
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as appropriate
