Job Description
A leading structural steel contractor is seeking a Steelwork Connection Designer to design practical and efficient connection solutions on major schemes. The role involves working closely with structural engineers, Tekla detailers, fabrication teams, and clients to design structural steel connections in accordance with Eurocodes and British Standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in structural steel connection design (contractor or specialist consultancy-side)
- Strong understanding of Eurocodes, British Standards, and structural steel design principles
- High level of proficiency using relevant design software (e.g., IDEA StatiCa, Tekla Tedds, MasterSeries, or similar)
- Solid understanding of steel fabrication and erection processes on site
- Strong communication, numerical, and problem-solving skills
